Toyotafest is one of my favorite events to attend yearly. I havent showed my car for the past two years but it was always my goal to show at Toyotafest. My first year attending and showing at Toyotafest was 2012 and it was a great experience and I’ve met some great people throughout the years. This time I woke up early in the morning and got ready to head up to the show early to get parking. It wasnt bad at all and there are always so many quality cars in the parking lot.
I love this Toyota Stout! Perfect shop truck and it looks so good.
Since I’ve been working on my Starlet alot more lately, I’ve been motivated to clean up my engine bay and there are so many cars at Toyotafest with beautiful engine bays. This Celica is a great example. My car is no where close to this clean!!!
This Toyota S800 caught my eye while I was walking down the row. There’s a car shop across the street from my work and the owner has a big collection of Japanese cars and he owns a red Toyota S800 and it was my first time seeing one in person. This silver one is the second one that I’ve ever seen.
While my friend Enrique and I approached the car, we were greeted by a woman and she said if we have any questions let her know. I assumed she owned the car since she was sitting right next to it. She told us her husband owns the car and there was a long story of how he got the car. But it was his dream car and eventually through the right connections he became an owner of this beautiful Toyota S800. The S800 community is really close because there aren’t so many of them around so they pretty much keep track of how many there are still in existence.
A few years back I was looking at older 70’s 80’s Toyota for another build since I wanted something older I was looking at Toyota Corona’s and this is the year I wanted either a Coupe or Sedan to restore. I fell in love with Corona’s but couldnt pull the trigger to purchase one at the time. Eventually I’m going to purchase one to build in the near future.
My friend Steve’s Ae101 Corolla, one of my favorite corolla’s out there and its so clean inside and out.
I got a call from my friend Adrian saying that he is with some guys from japan. I was suppose to meet up with Hiroki and he happened to be with him. I went over to his car and he was with Hiroki and a few other guys that are on the same California trip. We hung out and chatted cars and eventually went out to the parking lot to look at Raul’s car.
